What brought you to Leap?
I injured my right hand previously and felt that it was very weak. I went to a physio and was then recommended to come to Leap.
After coming to Leap for half a year, I felt much better and it helped me a lot with my hand. After a year of physio and coming to Leap, I can now use 5kg weights in class!
What’s different about Leap?
I tried different places before Leap – big fitness centres. Because Leap has small classes, it feels like we know each other and instructors can help correct me. I know many familiar faces and the team looks after the members and pays attention to each of us.
What challenges did you overcome?
I felt like I didn’t want to do exercise and it was very hard to start. But, once I started, I felt that my body and wellbeing improved.
What results have you seen so far?
After the end of the first year, I’m able to carry heavier things and walk for longer distances without feeling tired. I felt stronger and healthier.
Previously, I only walked half an hour twice a week round the block. Now, I do that and come to classes here. (Indah comes to 5+ classes each week!)
Personally, I think I have to maintain this routine to keep my health and mental wellbeing at top notch. I don’t think I can return to doing no exercise!
